Settings the audio levels

You can adjust the audio levels with the potentiometers installed on the SvxLink Card. It is also possible by running this command from the Raspberry Pi:

alsamixer

To adjust the reception input level (microphone of the USB audio card), let's start to set the potentiometer to 3/4 of its stroke and set the software Mic adjustment (CAPTURE) to the high gain position (or maximum).

While generating a BF audio signal in the input of your reception, simply by speaking, you're going to decrease (adjust) the level of the Mic channel (CAPTURE) until a saturation of the input BF signal is not indicated. To be able to follow these 2 information's you'll need to open two term consoles: the first one dedicated to SvxLink and his tracking, the second one for the software level adjustment with alsamixer utility.
